Biography
He is recognized as a TED Fellow (2011) for his work developing real-world systems to examine human behavior and a Kairos Fellow (2018) for his work using open data systems to help improve housing affordability and quality. In 2019, he was appointed to the New York City Mayor’s Office of Open Data Analytics Advisory Board. He is acknowledged by Gerson Lehman Group (2018) as a top Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) machine-learning expert. Much of his work has been featured by The New York Times, WIRED, The Wallstreet Journal, ProPublica, Bloomberg and many more publications.
Headline One
Yale launched Rentlogic in 2013, a platform that analyzes vast amounts of public data to generate letter grades for buildings across New York City. Rentlogic raised $2.4M in venture financing to help fulfill their mission to create transparency between building owners and residents. Yale has an Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Queen’s University and a Masters of Science in Cybersecurity Risk & Management from NYU.

In his spare time, Yale likes to build technologies that make people think twice. For example, a dog collar with built-in sound and voice-recognition equipment so his dachshund (Elly) can ask for food or offer her opinions.
